The Clyde E. Thompson Funeral Home opened in October of 1945 at 344 Main Street,
Duncan Falls where it began to serve the Duncan Falls, Philo and surrounding areas.
In 1945 Clyde Thompson bought the Ada Henderson Funeral Home which also served the
Duncan Falls area since the early 1900's. A much needed new facility was built in 1969.
The new location was built at 383 Main Street where the Funeral Home remains today.

In September 1976 Steve Farus joined the family profession and it became the
Thompson-Farus Funeral Home in 1985 when Steve Farus took over operations of the home.
The firm continued to widen it's area of service to surrounding areas. After graduating
from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 1995, Steve's son Matt joined the
family firm. In addition to the Thompson-Farus Funeral Home in Duncan Falls the Farus
family now serves the Cumberland and surrounding community with the
Tom & Farus Funeral Home.
